Build the future of African investing

MyStocks Africa makes African stock markets accessible to every investor on the planet. We’re a small, high-trust team that values intellectual honesty, primary sources, and clear writing. If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.

Open Roles

Junior Equity Analyst

Research Desk Full-time Remote · Africa

Join the MyStocks Africa Research Desk as a Junior Equity Analyst covering African-listed companies across the NGX, NSE, JSE, GSE and other exchanges. You will turn primary filings and market data into clear, decision-useful research for retail and diaspora investors.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain company models and one-page profiles for African-listed equities.
  • Track earnings, corporate actions, dividends and IPO/pre-IPO pipelines across covered exchanges.
  • Write concise, accurate research notes and contribute to the Dangote IPO and market-intelligence coverage.
  • Help maintain proprietary datasets (e.g. the MyStocks Africa Diaspora Demand Index), sourcing every figure to a primary source.
  • Support data quality across the platform — prices, fundamentals, exchange metadata.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 0–2 years’ experience; strong interest in African capital markets.
  • Solid financial-statement literacy and comfort with spreadsheets/modelling.
  • Clear written English and a habit of citing primary sources (exchange filings, regulators, company disclosures).
  • High attention to detail and intellectual honesty — no fabricated figures, ever.

Nice to have

  • Progress toward CFA, ACCA, or a similar qualification.
  • Familiarity with NGX / NSE / JSE listing and disclosure regimes.
  • Basic SQL, Python, or data-tooling skills.

What we offer

  • Fully remote within Africa, with flexible hours.
  • Direct mentorship from the Research Desk and exposure to the full investment platform.
  • A front-row seat to landmark events like the Dangote IPO.
